A Bit About Me

Tony Grant is an English football coach and former professional player.

 

A midfielder, he began his career with Premier League club Everton in 1993 and went on to play for Swindon Town, Tranmere Rovers, Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion, Burnley, Crewe

Alexandra, Accrington Stanley, Chester City and also represented England u21 in his career which ended at age 32.

 

Tony then went on to forge a career in coaching, and became the u18 coach of Blackburn rovers, football was developing at the time in the academy system with the introduction of the new

EPPP, Tony was instrumental in Blackburn gaining Category 1 status.

 

Tony would soon move on to coach the first team at Blackburn for a number of years.

 

Tony would carry on his coaching career at Blackpool FC as Assistant manager before an opportunity to coach in Australia, India and then Saudi Arabia arose, here he would also become assistant manager to Robbie Fowler, and he has also been assistant manager to Duncan Ferguson at Forest Green Rovers.

Technical Coach to an array of players at different clubs.

ASSISTANT MANAGER, EAST BENGAL FC

Took over at a newly formed club. We created a great environment and brought over the first sports psychologist to help with player welfare.

ASSISTANT MANAGER, BRISBANE ROAR
Taking responsibility for the technical, tactical, physical and psychological development of all players working alongside Manager, Robbie Fowler.

Anthony James Grant (born 14 November 1974) is an English football coach and former player, he is the assistant head coach of EFL League One club Forest Green Rovers.


A midfielder, he began his career with Premier League club Everton in 1993 and went on to play for Swindon Town, Tranmere Rovers, Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion, Burnley, Crewe Alexandra, Accrington Stanley and Chester City. He was capped once by England U21.


After retiring from playing in 2008, Grant has coached at a variety of clubs and recently been assistant manager at both League One side Forest Green Rovers and Saudi Arabian Division One side Al Qadisiyah.
